Waterworks

|    home

You will need:

  • watercolour paint
  • watercolour paper
  • drawing media - coloured pencils, pens, etc.

Do:

  • Attach your paper to a stiff surface like a board or glass cutting board.
  • Drip watercolours onto your paper, tilting it around to allow the paints to flow and create some random shapes and channels.
  • When dry, use your drawing media to add abstract scribbles that either follow or contrast with the drips and pools.

Notes:

  • Doing this on a wet surface will create more blended and spreading shapes.
  • Dry surfaces will leave more defined shapes and not allow for so much blending.
