- watercolour paints

- watercolour paper/sketchbook
- pens, coloured pencils, markers, etc. (optional)
Do:
- Choose three or four complementary colours.
- Using a bigger-sized brush, paint shapes on your surface.
- After you allow these shapes to dry, use a pen or coloured pencil to draw into the blocks.
- Any type of design is fine, but simple seems to work best. It can be a doodle, or something representational.
- If desired, use coloured pencils, pens, or more paint to colour into the designs you've made.
