Paper played

|    home

You will need:

  • various papers
  • adhesive
  • substrate
  • gel pens (optional)

Do:

  • Rip various papers into pieces of various sizes and shapes.
  • Arrange the pieces until you're happy with the placement before gluing them down.
  • Glue down your pieces.

Or:

  • Instead of something random and abstract, consider creating an image of some kind - portraits, landscapes, something else.

Notes:

  • You could use decorative scrapbooking paper, old book pages, magazines, junk mail, etc.
  • Besides mosaic-style images and abstract designs, you can use what you make as backgrounds for other work.
  • Consider outing the pieces in a particular colour - something complementary, contrasting, or that simply highlights an disappears and doesn't show up much. Gel pens are good for this.
