Using something simple like a small notebook or pad of sticky notes, use each page to detail the transformation of an object or a word by drawing a different successive stage of the change on each page.

You will need:

• drawing materials - pens, coloured pencils, graphite, etc.
• a book to flip - small notebook, sticky notes pad, etc.

You could:

• Dance a word or image across the pages.
• Change a word from one to a different word by moving and altering the letters in a creative way.
• Change a word into the object it represents, or vice versa.
• You could use different media - pen, coloured pencils, paints, collage, etc. - to create images and stories.
• Tell a story by appearing and disappearing successive words and/or images of that story on successive pages of the paper you're using.
